CENTRAL ASIA CORRESPONDENT, ALMATY

THE JOB

Based in Almaty, the correspondent is responsible for coverage of the five countries of ex-Soviet Central Asia: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

Working under the authority of the Moscow bureau and the news editor for the former Soviet Union, the correspondent will cover news throughout the region, coordinating text, photo and video freelancers.

THE JOB

AFP TV is seeking a motivated, dedicated full-time Video Journalist in Moscow starting in September 2022.

Working in a team of three video journalists in AFP's Moscow bureau, you will cover news, feature stories and sports across Russia and the former Soviet Union, working closely with colleagues in text and photo. You will be regularly required to undertake reporting missions in the region and occasionally elsewhere in Europe and in the rest of the world.

AFP is looking for a talented, well-rounded photojournalist to join our team of photographers based in Washington DC.

You will be part of a permanent rotation of five photographers covering the White House, the Congress, general politics and breaking news. The job involves a fair amount of traveling with the US President and the State Department.
