AFPTV is offering an exciting opportunity to operate as a video producer in London.

You will work on the very busy Africa desk and help other desks when needed, especially the Europe one located in the same office.

You will contribute to the speed of delivery of the breaking news story and to the quality our video service.

There may also be some limited shooting opportunities or field producing.

You will have to ensure the reliability of news covered and respect for the agency's editorial policy. You should be familiar with the issues involved in handling user generated content and AFP’s guidelines concerning the use of UGC.

Candidates should bring a multi-media approach to the job and expect to coordinate closely with text reporters and photographers.

You will closely monitor social media and strictly adhere to the Agency's guidelines on social media activity.

You will contribute to the fight against misinformation by offering any assistance needed to the digital investigation teams in the network and you will ensure that you are trained in the various methods of online verification, now indispensable for all journalism. Online training is available here.

You must be ready to work long days and a wide range of hours, including early mornings and late nights, as well as weekends.
