THE JOB

AFP is looking for a journalist to join its exciting new mobile content creation unit (Stories) to produce multimedia digital packages for a global audience.

You will work to tight deadlines to produce several short packages each day, incorporating videos, photos, audio and infographics produced by the Agency's teams from around the world, into creative and engaging packages.

You will propose fresh ideas on the day's topics in a morning news conference, then write scripts and edit selected content into 2–3-minute strapped packages.

You may be required, several times a day, to update a rolling 'Top News' package, selecting and ordering the key international stories of the day.

Excellent news judgement, and the ability to present complex information in a clear, precise, and engaging way is essential.

You will ensure the accuracy of the content and respect the agency's editorial policy.

  • Strong interest in international news and new technologies
  • Experience working across social media platforms
