AFP’s Adrian Dennis wins SJA sports photographer of the year

AFP’s Adrian Dennis has won the Sports Photographer of the Year and Sports Folio prizes at the UK’s Sports Journalists’ Association annual awards.   It is the second time in three years that he has won the sports photographer of the year at the SJA’s Sports Journalism Awards.   He also won the best individual photograph of supporters prize in the Vauxhall Home Nations Photographer of the Year awards.

Marcos Vizcarra of Mexico named 2017 winner of Peter Mackler Award for Courageous & Ethical Journalism

The Global Media Forum Training Group, the US branch of Reporters Without Borders (RSF), and Agence France-Presse (AFP) today announce that Mexican journalist Marcos Vizcarra is the 2017 winner of the Peter Mackler Award for Courageous and Ethical Journalism. The award will be presented in a ceremony at the National Press Club on October 26, 2017.
